RE: Hot water "Hum" at faucet?

Hey, thanks folks. You've given me some ideas. I think I'll start by changing each individual part from the pedestal in. But I've got a feeling it's gonna be in the WH. Thanks Again, DR

Meds from Canadian on-line phamacies?

I think the time has come for me to investigate procuring some of our meds...generic Plavix mostly...from Canadian sources. Anybody got any experiences they care to share? Thanks, DR

Hot water "Hum" at faucet?

Recently developed a HUMMMMMM when using hot side of either water faucet or the shower. Loudness increases with opening of faucet...very low at a fast drip.? We haven't changed anything...same hookups we've had for weeks at our volunteer location..."city" water...we're the only vols here with the issue.? Changed hoses...no cure.? Anybody got any suggestions? Thanks, DR

You'll smile everytime you hit a downgrade sign with a "6%", "7%", or whatever added to it!

RE: colorado state parks

wcw... Not in Gunnison, but on the way...check out Crawford S/P on Hwy. 92...It's just a short drive thru ranch country to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison (North Rim). Lottsa pull-thrus, one loop w/40 sites with E & W, another tent loop...most sites waterfront/view. Well-kept restrooms & grounds, stocked lake, off-the-beaten path. And Crawford is home to "rocker", Joe Cocker. A real "cowboy" town. No supermarket tho. We like it!

RE: I40 to cali. from tn.

Made that trip out I-40 again about a month ago...took longer than we expected due to having to dodge storms. Some of our favorite places...All pull-throughs: Hazen, AR...T/Ricks...Passport America...Overnite ONLY...Behind a gas station...Cheap! Lake Eufaula, OK State Park...Get a premium site waterfront...#91 is our choice...We always stop here & relax for awhile. Amarillo, TX...Amarillo Ranch RV Park...Passport America...Very cordial folks with coffee/pastries every morning...Don't miss having a steak at the Big Texan. ABQ...We have been to 3 different parks there & still prefer Enchanted Trails, even tho it's not paved...They have trees...Passport America. If you don't have Passport America, suggest you get one...Half price camping! $44 a year. PM me for my member # before you sign up & I get extra months on my membership...Costs you nothing!:B Keep a weather eye open, DR/JR/Rosie

RE: Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta

Arnold...Strongly suggest you make your reservations ASAP! And get ALL the details about the site you select. Some parks will put you in a dirt field with a dropcord & still charge you big $$.

Reese 16K Hitch Issue...Locking Bar Release?

On our Reese, from time to time when unhitching the locking bar hangs up & requires 2 of us to pull it out...DW "rocking" the truck in forward/reverse & me trying to pull it out. Level or not...angled or not...There doesn't seem to be a pattern. And yes, the safety catch is up! I've looked at it from all angles & can't find anything amiss. Anybody had such a problem or got any suggestions? Help/ideas/suggestions appreciated!:B

RE: Question about Dish Network switch.

I have had good results resolving issues with my Dish system by merely unplugging the receiver for 2-3 minutes.

RE: New VuQube...Oh well, maybe I can get it to work tomorrow!

Be aware that as soon as you open the unit without factory consent/notation, you have voided the short 12 months warranty. At least that's what the instruction sheet I saw advised.

RE: New VuQube...Oh well, maybe I can get it to work tomorrow!

Hey, ya...that would probably work too. Anything to discourage some nut that doesn't understand that it needs a remote to be of any value. I wonder why the carry handle isn't a full half-circle? Interested to see what kind of telephone support I get tomorrow! Report follows in about 24 hours!

New VuQube...Oh well, maybe I can get it to work tomorrow!

Picked up a VuQube @ CW today...$699...New in sealed box. Checked out the contents with salespeople before we left CW. All seemed A-OK. Got back to the rig & attempted to set it up. Dead batteries on remote. Replaced. "Rotate" doesn't. Will call manufacturer in the morning to find out the skinny. Also intend to ask them why they can't mold a security ring/attachment onto one side of the unit. Heckuva concept & I think it will probably fit under the side of my rig & still work. Think I'm also gonna see about having a plate with a security loop made that fits on the bottom of the dish so I can cable to a landing leg. Anybody got any info/help to offer? \\

RE: Teton vs. Escalade

I agree with seniorEM. If you're going to drop that kinda $$$, be certain you get the floorplan you like & "sweat the small stuff". We found some details on the Teton model we were considering that we couldn't live with. Apparently you've been around for awhile, so you should know what to look for. Personally, we feel we got the best bang for our buck & the people at KZ have been OUTSTANDING...not just warranty but...! Would we buy another Escalade? In half a heartbeat! And yes, this was our fourth 5er.

RE: OK, NOW I FOUND A PROBLEM! NO DUMP

Glen, no apologies needed! I just wonder why the new owner didn't verify operation of ALL systems on HIS PDI!? We all know that these units are built by humans & subject to boo-boos just like anything else...My neighbor refers to them as "brain far-s"...but that is why PDIs were put in place. Get a checklist & don't part with your $$$ until ALL items are OK'd!

RE: The black tank valve was open....

I did the same as BFL13...It also gives you a second valve in case the main one fails. If you put it outboard of a clear accessory attachment, you can see if anything's amiss. But sometimesthe gremlins win! DR

RE: What would be peoples chouce for a fifth wheel

StanBNV...Bud, you NAILED it! We made the mistake once of ordering a new MAJOR BRAND 5er based on a new floorplan we had only seen in brochures. We knew the brand well. We upgraded the rear recliners to "King" size. Result...The slides would not close without taking the backs off the chairs & moving the bases to the middle of the coach between the slides. They were too wide! Apparently neither the dealer or mfr had considered anybody ordering "oversize" recliners. But they still shipped it that way!
